Andy kicks off fundraising with half marathon for The Clock Tower Sanctuary

The Clock Tower Sanctuary work with homeless people aged 16-25 in Brighton, providing access to services and support like showers, meals, computer access and a space to do laundry and receive post. The only drop-in day centre in Brighton for young people who are homeless or insecurely housed, the charity provide stability and emotional support, and a path out of homelessness. Our Client Services Manager, Andy Austin nominated The Clock Tower Sanctuary in 2018 for our #share7 campaign, donating a portion of our £20,000 fundraising total to the homeless charity. He's continuing his support through #share77k, nominating them as one of our 10 charities. Here's why the work they do is so important to him: “Unfortunately homelessness continues to grow, with young adults being among the most vulnerable and likely to have had a tough start in life. So the support, facilities, activities and life-skills training The Clock Tower Sanctuary provide are vital in helping to improve their situation and make a positive move towards a life after homelessness.” To begin our two years of fundraising for #share77k, Andy ran the Endurance Life Half Marathon across Birling Gap and Beachy Head last weekend, raising an amazing £465 for The Clock Tower Sanctuary. Search Seven donated £150 towards his fundraising total as part of our CSR programme, which supports our staff in their fundraising efforts - £250 for their first fundraising event and £150 thereafter. On being included in our 2018 #share7 campaign, and receiving a portion of our fundraising total, Natalia Borg, The Clock Tower Sanctuary's Development Manager said: “The enthusiasm and compassion of the Search Seven team is second to none – we’re chuffed to have their support!
