#share7 charity spotlight: The Sussex Beacon

Next up in our charity spotlight, where we provide an overview of each charity we are supporting in our 2018 #share7 campaign, is on The Sussex Beacon - A local charity that offers specialist care and support for men, women and families living with HIV.

Every member of the Search Seven team has chosen a charity to support that is close to their hearts, and we have chosen 5 this year, on top of our Flagship charity The Rockinghorse and Nkuringo Primary School, who we have sponsored for the last four years now.

On Monday 7th May, Search Seven hosted their first (of their three) #share7 event, with a charity football match at the AMEX stadium. The event raised an incredible £7,500 and has helped us on our way towards hitting the £17k target for 2018.Bill Puddicombe, Executive Director of The Beacon, attended the event and spent time meeting the players on the pitch and being involved in the post-event raffle and auction. Talking about the event, Bill stated "I just wanted to say a huge thank you from us at the Beacon for the effort everyone put in yesterday evening for us and the other good causes. It was a fantastic evening and a great crowd" Gavin Willis, MD of Search Seven chose the Sussex Beacon as his charity for 2018, as they were fantastic when supporting his Uncle Alan during his last few years, offering him respite and comfort, and he goes on to add "my family will be eternally grateful for the care and support that the Beacon gave to my Uncle, and i am delighted that I can repay our gratitude in some way"

We have three big charity events lined up this year, which started with the charity football match at the AMEX stadium, next up being a golf event on 30th August and a quiz night on 22nd November.
