Following on from the charity football match on 7th September 2014, we presented the Trevor Mann Baby Unit with an amazing cheque for what was raised!

What an event, what an amount raised, what a great effort, and what a feeling it was to present the Trevor Mann Baby Unit with a cheque for £5,520.77! The amount surpassed all expectation and the day itself was fantastic, with the score tied at Search Seven XI 4 - TMBU XI 4 The money raised will go specifically towards the purchase of a RetCam, which is a wide angle paediatric retinal imaging system useful for screening Retinopathy of Prematurity. It is a non-stressful way to screen premature babies and is easier to perform when compared to indirect. This piece of cutting-edge equipment will helps to prevent babies from any long term problems by ensuring they are identified early, and it is overwhelming to know that S7, and all involved in the charity event, has helped to provide such a wonderful gift! Thanks again to everyone that took part in the event, from players, sponsors, officials, organisers, to Shoreham FC and to all that came along to support! We will continue to raise money for the TMBU so keep your eyes peeled for other events, or alternatively let us know if you are involved in other charity events that we can possibly support
